Personally I think the risks outweigh the rewards on this one, if I'm understanding you correctly here.

What type of research do you plan on doing with potential customers before they are allowed to order?

The internet is full of people waiting for the perfect opportunity to scam others, I think you would be giving those scammers a license to scam.

My opinion of course, I sadly just don't see this working out, but if you do go ahead with it then good luck and I wish you all the best.

100% agree with revel, the risks you would be taking on are huge. most definetly would outweigh the rewards. however i wish you the best of luck if you decide to go ahead with the business.

As previously posted I intend to stick to established retailers, who have a legitimate retail space. The small mum and pop stores. Would that not lower the risk a fair bit?

No it wouldn't. Whereas large retail giants often delay payment because it's just the way they do things, Mom and Pop shops delay payment because they usually just don't have the money. Those sorts of shops are the worst risk because they go out of business so quickly.

Your only recourse in the event of non-payment would be legal action, a process that would be different in every country you sell to. A nightmare waiting to happen.

Hey Cowboy,
You need to find someone in Guangzhou as that is where all the electronics are, Im in Zhejiang which covers pretty much everything else. There was an English guy posting in the supplier section a couple of days ago looking for someone to work with. He lived in Shenzhen, maybe worth your while having a look through the threads for his post and having a chat with him.

Cheers,
Tait
