i think this is useful yet i do not agree with the wholesaler "not being friendly" perhaps i am just different from the rest but i like to deal with clients on a more informal and friendly way, i am a wholesaler who's family runs major factories in Thailand but you cannot eliminate a potential supplier just because they do not have a website many countries including Thailand hardly deal with things on a technological basis, and people should understand that. My father is a major manufacturer over there and supplies to over 170 shops yet he can only just email! And has no website but things are old fashioned pretty much everything is face to face, with sales reps. And also not having a business VAT registration number does not necessarily mean the someone is a scammer, you do not have to become VAT registered until your earning approximately £1200 a week, therefore what about the newer companies arising, they would not become VAT registered until needed. Just to give you a bit of background about myself, i am 21 just graduated from University and starting out and i do not have all the above, i can be honest about that but i have done a few imports now and i use a pseudo turn number not a VAT number until i need do so. Just giving an insight from a different point of view.

Thanks
Nicki

Some very useful tips there! Here is an old proverb modified to fit the bill:- 'Scammers prevail when good traders do nothing' Well done!
