Re: A 5 STEPS METHOD To check out your (supposed) supplier.
These are great tips!
Just FYI, over 95% of the Chinese scamming companies we've uncovered have been legally registered to do business, so even if that registration form is authentic, the company still may be a scammer - make sure they've been in business for over a year, as most scammers can't last longer than that.
Here are some tips glo-bis.com put together to help recognize a Chinese scam:
The Chinese company contacted you off the Web.
They have “Import/Export” in their name.
They want to conduct a very large volume of trade.
They insist your senior executive travel to China immediately to sign the contract with them in person.
They request money prior to the trip to pay for a reception in your honor, and/or, once in China, they request money or goods to grease the wheels with local officials.
They have been in business for less than one year.
They can provide no verifiable references.
Don't hesitate to contact info@glo-bis.com with any questions, comments, or queries!

Re: A 5 STEPS METHOD To check out your (supposed) supplier.
Yes, the best way to to visit the supplier personally.Or use a third party inspection company to check it first.
We protect the interests of Western companies by providing a full range of high quality verifications of claims by Chinese companies.

Re: A 5 STEPS METHOD To check out your (supposed) supplier.
it is very necessary to visit your suppliers to know more about them, not only check the factory status, but also get to know some management status, because a good management is very important for a factory. I have met some poor management factories, you will get much troubles if you do business with them even they want serve good to you, but they can't...you spent much time on tell them how to improve.

Re: A 5 STEPS METHOD To check out your (supposed) supplier.
thank you. this is very helpful
I normally check the authenticity of a website by looking up the whois data and then searching the address on google maps and look for registered business on that address - if the domain is under a different address be wary

Re: A 5 STEPS METHOD To check out your (supposed) supplier.
You must also verify your supplier's VAT number (if they're located within Europe)
Ask for references - i.e their supplier or customer
You can do that at below link for free:
