Has anyone tried out worldwide brands?
I recently signed up for Salehoo which seems good. Has anyone tried the main alternative worldwide brands. Does anyone know if they have many sources that ship to australia?

WWBrands is good and all of the suppliers are legitimate, but it depends on what you're looking for. There will be no Ipod, Playstation, Xbox or Cell phone suppliers in there, nor will there be any fashion clothing suppliers.

I've got to offer a slightly different view. They are legitimate, as are the sources they connect you with. BUT - much of what is offered is all over ebay. In fact, the main man at WWB, Chris Malta, while a sincere guys, is now an official ebay guru. So, you do really have to research what they suggest, since many ebayers use the same suppliers.
Here is an alternative you might check out.

Why assume that Ebay is the outlet?
There are lots of alternative outlets that allow the service to be utilsed. Chris Malta used to work for Ebay btw

Even if the intention is to sell elsewhere, having the goods offered on ebay, ofthen by a number of sellers, results in a lowering of overall value in the eyes of many and often extreme price competition, with items being sold for pennies with excessive shipping. (Yeah, I know they don't allow that, but it goes on all the time.)
As someone who sells in the real world, I can't begin to tell you how many ladies look at my stuff then do an aside to one another that goes like "You can get that on ebay for half."
Why else do many large manufacturers patrol ebay like a hawk? They are not as much concerned about any individual sale as they are concerned about the degrogation of their brand image.
So, my point is that regardless of where, or how, you intend to market the goods, if they are in major play on ebay you will not get the return that you will on products that may only show up there occasionally, or, better yet, not at all.

I can easily answer that question for you. We do have suppliers that will ship to Australia. Over half of our listed sources will. However, keep in mind that the bulk of our listed genuine sources are based in the US. Therefore, shipping costs would be high.

Billy,
There are reasons why there aren't those types of products listed. iPods, in order to be a legitimate retailer, you must purchase $100,000 worth of inventory. If you are not an authorized retailer for them, they will not offer support or cover warranties or guarantees.
Gaming Systems - There are licensing and retail sales territory agreements. You must be licensed directly through those companies. That kind of licensing, once again generally require large brick & mortar retail based operations and large order requirements.
Cell Phones - Contracting agreements. You have to be an authorized dealer through each cell phone manufacturer for the brand that you want to sell. So you will have to contact each company to find out how to become an authorized dealer.
Brand Name Clothing - The problem is counterfeits. The manufacturers/brands will not allow their products to be sold on the Internet unless they give you direct permission to do so. You will need to buy the products up front in large quantities, because they don't want to handle the returns. Most of these name brand companies only work with large brick and mortar stores that also supplement selling online.
Since we only list genuine sources, and we have certain qualifications in order for a supplier to be listed, we cannot list these larger companies. Their minimums are too high and they will not drop ship.

HI Pete,
Our products aren't heavily saturated. We avoid saturation by constantly adding to the supplier database. However you are correct in that research is KEY.
You must do your market research before even thinking about throwing something up online to sell. Sometimes it can take several weeks or months to work out your product niche.

Hi Must Have Mobiles,
I greatly thank you for your comments! :O)
However, I did want to point out that our CEO Chris Malta has never worked for eBay.
We are eBay Certified Providers, eBay Radio Product Sourcing Editors and we also tour with eBay University and give speeches. However, this all basically 3rd party. We are not a branch of eBay.
