Default Suggestion to delete or negative feedback for forum scammers

Ok i have my suspicions about a fellow by the name of bartojanssen.

Here is the post in name and shame section about reksaarcade:

http://thewholesaleforums.co.uk/foru...ead.php?t=2148

Now have a look at this bartojanssen suggesting them:

http://thewholesaleforums.co.uk/foru...ighlight=reksa

Check the first post and u will see the idiot said he received stuff from these guys.......what a joke.

i think now we know that bartojanssen is a fraud as well.DONT TRUST ANY OF HIS LAME INDONESIAN RECCOMENDATIONS!!

My suggestion:

Its such a shame that nowadays on this forum its hard to trust people........can we please maybe make a rule where only people `WHO SHOW PROOF` can recommend suppliers because now we have a lot of scammers exposing this forum:|
Also can the mods maybe introduce a ratings system whereby if a member is caught `misleading or lying` they get a negative trading rating or something or perhaps even just deleted all together so it saves people losing thier money.

Please we need some effort cause this forum is only going to grow and attract more and more scammers.

The only person to answer this post is James, the forum owner.

As and when he sees it, he will respond to you..

I have looked into this, and I am unsure about it.

He is in Spain as he claims, and has actually commented on other suppliers. Could any of the other mods please look into it.

Regarding the trust issue, im afraid if such a system was implemeted it would be open to too much abuse. As it is, we just make sure the forum is heavily moderated.

There is a function to report a bad post. If you feel this is the case ever, simply click the button and it will be looked at.

I disagree..

If people ask on the forum, whether a certain supplier is legit or not, they should get an answer either way. If not, then it is simple, you don't deal with that supplier..

With the wealth of knowledge we have on the forum I think it is unlikely that a scammer will slip through the net. Not to say that people on this forum are perfect, but I am quietly confident that the people on this forum know what they are talking about.

My eyes are always peeled, as are the other 2 members of the moderation team.

As the forum becomes more popular it is inevitable that it will attract the idiots, my advice would be not to jump straight in on any posts that are made and have a detailed look at what is on offer.

Replies are posted pretty quickly the majority of the time and the whole forum (not just the mods/admin) are quite open and frank with their comments so you usually get a feel for the consensus pretty soon. We have also been known to be wrong but WE ALWAYS make amends for that...

Although a good idea it would be very hard to police and implement properly and, as mentioned above, can be manipulated.

Mike

we do have a rating system in a way. we can give members warnings..and after a certain number of warnings, they are automatically banned by the system. i've dished out quite a few warnings myself. i dont know whether or not the non-mods (normal members) can actually see how many warnings a member has

Don't think they can Harry.. (which isn't a bad thing tbh)

The bottom line is, if you as a member have a problem with another member or organisation just PM one of the moderation team and we will sort it out. Most if not all of the mods are on here everyday so your problem should be solved pretty quickly.
