I'm noticing an increase in members that are not community advertisers, using their company logo in their avatar, I think this is another way of getting round not paying for advertising.

Maybe it should be discouraged and dealt with the same way as posting links?

Nope. I don't think it's a big issue, and should just be left alone. I can understand where Anthony came from about Signaturees, but to stop people having their own avatars (albeit with their company name) is a step to far.

People are more likely to buy from a seller who is willing to pay for the Advertising priviledges than someone who isn't. Plus, you build up a reputation with an Advertisement Membership, something you can't do with an avatar.

RWA my man - i see where your coming from, but i don't think it's something we should worry about... Can't imagine anyone using them unless they post on TWF what they can offer / provide (for this they will need advertiser subscription otherwise pulled down).

Anyone who would use companies via an avatar logo would need their brains looking at, i simply cannot see anyone using them...... saying that - there is Gamesmaster (big love - i love him really).

The only avatars i find a bit concerning are the ones like i seen the other month, when one member had "F-*K YOUR OPINION" - might have looked a tad offensive to new members of the forum.
