Just a thought....
That maybe on the profile page for each seller, there could be a specific section where we can add email address' ie the one for paypal and the one to be contacted on. Therefore confirming to a buyer if they got an email from a seller or a spoof email. This has only come to light from feedback off one of my buyers this evening.

Wouldn't this be a Mecca for spambots?

The method I used to use was to create an image of the name, address, or email address I wanted to put on any of my websites.

As you know, the spambots can't read images, only text. This method allows you to post whatever contact info you need to. Maybe there could be a space in your profile page for a contact image?

This is how we will defeat the machines. I do not know who fired the first shot, but it was us who scorched the sky. (*Danyal/Morpheus points to the sky).

TTL has a good idea.

They would soon clock onto this and format the bots to read that, and put it without brackets and spaces,

yeah an image is good, you could also have a "mailto:<Email Adress>" tag so it opens up your default email application automatically without copy and pasting etc,

....... and that's where the spambots catch up again Mitch.

Unfortunately, the image must be just an image.
