Hi,

Just noticing the amount of members vanishing lately, has it always been like this?

Its just there's people who have contacted me selling there products which seem ok and the way they come across in threads on here ok too (apart from one), then the next thing i know their banned!!

Im wondering are they generally banned for dodgy deals? Have i had some lucky escapes?

Were these members you refer to registered as a 'Community Advertiser'?

You see people getting banned becuase id say 90% of them try to sell stuff without paying for the privilege or rub too many people up the wrong way.

Not they wern't (they emailed and PM'd me, i never did business with them though) but they wern't the usual everyday advertiser that posts 20 threads in the wrong sections. They were active and on here fr a couple of months.

Dont know if i can mention names so i wont, but i know why a certain member was banned that was obvious (rubbing people up wrong way) but what about the rest?

If they're not registered community advertisers then they shouldn't be advertising here and that's probably why they were banned.

It is your responsibility as a member of The Wholesale Forums to report anybody offering their products or services without 'Community Advertiser' status. It is surprising that you haven't done so, considering you have paid to advertise.

Theres your answer they didnt pay for the privigege, its like me trying to flog my goods on here, i would get banded like a shot, and i would deserve it.

Oh ok. The reason i didn't point them out is becuase it over PM and i wouldn't buy. Also i assumed you would know?? Can you see all our PM's?

I do report alot of people doing so though which you should know, unless the "report post" thing is annoymous?

It sounds as if we are doing a good job at keeping you and other unsuspecting members relatively safe from fraudulent traders.

You should never respond to an unsolicited/commercially oriented PM/Email from any member of this community unless they have 'Community Advertiser' accreditation.

FYI: Private Messages are exactly that, private. It is a means to conduct private communications with another member. Reporting posts is much the same, but only TWF staff can review the reasons for you reporting a post.

If in doubt, always contact us for assistance first and not after you have thrown away your hard earned cash to those who have no intention of doing proper business with you.
