hello,
I am looking for wholesale computer hardware so I can make computers and sell them on the internet. Anybody know any places that sell computer hardware in wholesale? Cheaper than newegg.com because newegg.com has amazing prices sometimes.

You will find newegg.com aren't a wholesaler as far as I'm aware, they're a retailer just like scan, aria, PC World etc., here in the UK.

So wouldn't get wholesale prices from them anyway.

Personally I don't feel there's money to be made on computers sold online by smaller guys just because of the competition. However I do build/sell them offline, but for it to be remotely profitable, I have to go to a local weekly computer fair. Which might be a good place for you to start, I recently asked a stall holder if he could supply me with hard drives and he got me a great deal, don't know if you're from the uk or america, but I guess the same thing goes.

I'm guessing if you have a search for local computer fairs, trade shows etc.. google will throw you up some decent results, Justin.

Oh! right lol, the computer fair I go to is ran by a company called NCM, they do shows in a few places, Manchester, Bradford, Leeds, and 4-5 other venues, check out the site, see if any are close to you, www.computermarkets.co.uk, they're normally packed with people, but I have found the best bargains at computer fairs, can't hurt to have a look around anyways, Justin.

You will find tunatamaker is from the US, that's why he mentioned newegg.com which is based in the US and only ships to the US.

yes. newegg.com is very cheap even for retail! they sell processors for $220, and I found wholesaler who sells for $210 which is no difference at all.

> RWA, I have actually bought from newegg.com. I misread the original message so sorry about that Tunatamaker, but the advice still stands, you say that $10 is no difference, but if you are building a complete system, then the difference will start to mount up, sorry I wasn't any more help to you, Justin.

Hi. I have used Ballicom & Scan before.

http://www.ballicom.co.uk/
http://www.scan.co.uk/

They are both wholesaler who will sell to you.

http://www.northamber.co.uk/ are probably the best around but you will have a lot of trouble getting an account setup.

Hope this info is helpful.

bowlers is the Manchester one you are on about, next to the printing place in trafford park.

Problem with them is you have to shop around first and know what you are going for as not everything will be cheaper than buying from retail shops.
