The current situation is this, in our current premises we have items displayed on the walls, customers come in and select the goods they want and a member of staff will retrieve them from the Stock and therefore fill the order, however, when the invoice is drawn up, we simply make the invoice out as say 100 x Toy's at £0.50 each the Vat is added on the Tas 3 invoice which includes the customers details.
I'm in the process of setting up a large discount warehouse, and the above method needs to be changed as the customer will be able to select the stock from the warehouse themselves, but, I need to keep a good stock inventory which means the items need to be itemised on the invoice seperately using a scanner to read the barcodes.
Although there is a supplier of reasonably priced barcode scanners on ebay, none of the scanners come with a software capable of doing the invoicing etc, so I'm looking for software that can be used in this way.
I am happy to pay (Cough) for the software and there is no need for it to be the latest (Cough) version
Can anyone reccomend the best software for the job and a supplier :?
