Hi my thread before this I said I needed help on what to sell on eBay. Well I have come up with something Giftware e.g. figurines money boxes etc also I was thinking cards, candles, joke things and gadgets. I might even look into becoming a wholesaler if I can find a good supplier e.g. straight from a factory. But for now just starting up I have around £600 to start with I would like my own website as well as my own eBay shop. Any advice on this subject would be a lot of help and also if anyone knows of some good wholesalers in the fields of giftware, cards, candles, joke things and gadgets that would also be a lot of help. On a completely different subject this forum is GREAT lots of help from people anyway Cheers Fearless

Setting up your own site is a must....there is a multitude of information that you could possibly want so please ask some specific questions and we will aim to answer them. I have quite a few opinions and thoughts/processes on the subject that may, or may not help, but the subject is so broad that one single post would be way to long.

Ask your specifics and I will aim to answer them, also search the forum and even check out my auction traders site (sig.) as the site is aimed at providinbg the information that you require.

Ok I will try to ask more specific questions. Here is what I need help on>

1) Is there a business for either selling wholesale giftware on eBay or individual giftware e.g. figurers of rabbit’s dog’s wizard’s dragons etc, or weird shaped candles or little crystal stones stuff like that? I have search giftware on eBay but not much comes up and what does isn't really what I want to sell.

2) Does anyone have any giftware factory details I could go and buy straight from them instead of going through a wholesaler?

3) I have £600 to start with and my aim is to have my own eBay shop and own website selling wholesale giftware and a few individual pieces could you tell me the best way to go about starting this up.

4) Could someone give me a list of the best giftware, candles, cards, random stuff wholesalers that they know off or where I can find them I don't really want to import things because I think lots of giftware factories are based in the UK (I could be wrong)

5) Last but not least do you think this is a good market to start with?

Right I think I covered what I need to know if there's anything that you know that you think might help me please let me know.

Thanks for the help: D

1. eBay offers a market to sell anything, you will have to do some market testing to see if they will sell in the quantities that you require to maintain your profits etc.

2. Sorry not my area.

3. eBay shop is just simply registering it with eBay and following the instructions, your own site is simply register the site name, get some hosting, look for a cart and upload some products. I say simply but the cart and the uploading will require some knowledge or you can get someone to do it for you so all you have to do is maintain it. This is a topic that is probably better suited to PM/Email or my own forum (unless people think otherwise )

4. Again sorry cannot help.

5. Yes providing you do some decent research and maybe focus onto a niche area, don't be to over ambitious to start with.
