Default Natural Sea Sponges

Hi. I am after a supplier of natural sea sponges, preferably in Europe. I have found a couple of suppliers in the USA -- one of which gets the sponges from Greece -- seems silly for me to get Greek sponges from the States when they have literally flown past my door already !!! Anyone have any suggestions ????

You might check with SpongeBob Squarepants

Actually, during my many years in the auto parts business I bought many a sponge, rag and car wash kit from these folks - http://www.smarnold.com/

They're in the US, however. Best I can offer.

Thank you iBuy -- only after small amounts initially ---- made up of small cosmetic sponges ( 2 - 3") and larger bathing sponges ( 5 - 6") Sea Silk and Sea Wool respectively. Probably looking to spend around 150 Euros per order.

Might be worth finding out from a Greek business forum like this : http://www.hellasob.com/cgi-bin/forums/wwwthreads.pl where the best local source is, and having a holiday stroke business trip there to do some groundwork. If you're spending small amounts, it can't hurt to go and talk to them and get some samples etc.? Just a thought. It's what I'd do. Flights are pretty cheap now
