Default Chips (Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox etc)

One thing we have not been able to find is a decent supplier of modchips, anyone know of one.
Especially for the Wii, we need
Argon
DC2Pro
Wiikey

Having to buy from elsewhere at moment and not adding anything on to these as we are installing and making on that but want to start retailing these as the demand is huge.

They are illegal, i dont think you can request suppliers for non-legitimate items?

Not illegal here.

About a year or so ago a judge ruled that once a playstation has left Sony's factory and is sold on Sony have no right over what the person does with it.

Very big earnings over here on chipped machines. Reason why Super Smash NTSC version has done so well.

But if shouldnt be on forum i apologise and understand deletion

There not illegal, providing your not using them to play pirated games. As long as you actually own the original game you can produce backup copies.

Its allowed to play back up copies, but ive seen at least 2 website that sell the backup versions, but they obviously dont require the customer to have the original opy.

ALl a bit risky if you ask me

Selling the games is definitely stupid what we have found with the chip is that alot of parents have wanted them. One shop in the city backs the game up if you bring it in as parents are annoyed when their kids drop or scratch that 50 euro game whereas scratching the 4 Euro backup is not too much of a problem. At least they can keep the expensive one safe.

Costa is right, once the items have left sony, the buyer can do whatever they want. Its like pc parts, once you own the graphics card, you can overclock it much as you like, the only time legal issues appear in the backing up of games.

Obviously, these chips are designed to back up games and play pirated ones, however, as the chip is partly used to back up, sony have to sit and watch pirated games become more popular.
