You can't get hold of Lacoste wholesale.. PERIOD.

There are some sellers of other clothing brands on the forum that may of be interest. Two that spring to mind are: Eprogressive and www.greengecko.biz

You can get Lacoste at wholesale, companies such as Image, Quinto and MF also have it in from time to time.

Yes, there are a lot of fakes but that is the same for most of the other designer labels.

Genuine Prada clothing is very hard to get but is still sometimes available at wholesale, why should Lacoste be any different?
A company in Italy we deal with also have Lacoste in from time to time, full paperworked stock.
It is a myth that any of these comercial designer brands are not available at wholesale. Lacoste is just like any other business, if you can buy serious quantities they will sell. All these brands have their own direct distribution networks, such as selling direct to shops etc...but they also parallel trade their goods into the wholesale market. Its how a modern business needs to operate. If they didnt, companies such as Image or ourselves etc...would not be able to get the stock. Brands just selling direct to retail does not make busines sense when you can also make X ammount extra selling to wholesale companies. Of course it is somewhat controlled, items are not flooded into the market...which could damage the brand and demand for it.
Not only this, if you have a contact in the company you can also do a business like this. I have a friend whom wholesales Aquascutum, which again is a very hard brand to get at wholesale, he can get the stuff because he has a contact quite high up in the company.
Dont be fooled, these companies have directors, shareholders etc and need to mantain profitability just like any business in any sector.

Also, I know that there is quite a bit of Paul and Shark in Germany.
As for cheap, that depends on your definition of "cheap"

I have not ever seen genuine Paul and Shark for cheap (my definition of cheap) but you could be a millionaire!! So it could be cheap to you lol....

Yeh true it really does depend what you define cheap as but I think you'll find there wont be any authentic designer clothes that are really cheap maybe a big discount occasionally but I really dont think you will find the cheap authentic wholesale clothing like everyone sees in there dreams. I have also heard of lots of Paul Shark in Germany?

I have never really bothered about clothing but from what i have been told it can be very difficult for a new retailer to even get accounts with some clothing/footwear companies.

I know this as i only ever use 1 clothes shop ( yes because i get discount ) and the manager in there was explaining to me one day how the owner has most accounts himself but a lot of the other stock is bought from a buyer/wholesaler.It just so happened that the buyers premesis are above this particular clothes shop and the buyer himself was once the buyer for a large designer retailer in the area before setting up on his own.

As for quantities that the buyer can get i am not exactly sure but he does deal in most of the designer names.

Also the mark up for the reatil shop if they got direct was about 100% on clothes and 50% on footwear. If bought from the buyer then prob 5-10% less.

But the manager was explaining to me that to get direct accounts with some companies you have to have your retail outlet set to certain criteria ie floor tiles not carpeted etc.

I agree with your view on getting direct accounts.

As for getting designer items cheap, it can happen from time to time. You will never see current season items cheap, however past season stock can be picked up at considerable discounts, hence a well known national discount outlet shop relies on this type of purchasing. They recently had last seasons Paul and Shark t-shirts for £25.00 in their shop.
