    Hi
I am trying to get one box with a very small value ($50) shipped from Canada to UK
It weighs 2.4kg and is 77x45x25cm
I am not in any hurry for item and can wait 6-8 weeks but i am being quoted well over £130 in shipping costs whihc is 3 x more than what the item cost me!
Any ideas how i can get it over here any cheaper?
    Thanks in advance

Its quite a big box so you are being charged on volume I expect. Have you tried Canada Post instead of a courier?

Yeah they are no better really.....
Is there an option to ship by sea instead of air? does this not make it cheaper?

It doesn't look like Canada Post offer a by-sea option. Not sure if the freight forwarders here can help but I'll tag them in for you - @Power Forwarding @Import Expert

    Hi Tansy,

Unfortunately for something of that size you really are limited to either courier or standard postal services. Sea Freight is usually charged based on a minimum of 2 CBM so would work out expensive for something like this.

    Kind regards,
    Darren.
