    Hi All

I use prestashop for my online store and am in the process of building the site. I have a question.

If i search for example in Google eBay I get the following
eBay - one of the UK's largest shopping destinations

    www.ebay.co.uk/

Visit eBay.co.uk to buy and sell new, used and vintage items from private or professional sellers. Great deals on clothes, tech, car parts, home & garden and ...
How do I add description of what my shop is about? As above
    Many Thanks in advance
    Mickey

Its called meta data and you need to set unique meta data per page on your website.

If you have Webmaster Tools accounts for Google, Yahoo and Bing etc then you should also submit your XML sitemaps to them, this will help speed up the process of them crawling and indexing your website pages to hopefully include them within the search results.

Just been into webmaster tools and it asked for my website address it then said
    1. Copy
the meta tag below, and paste it into your site's home page. It should go in the <head> section, before the first <body> section.

so i have logged into my prestashop back office now what?

    thanks

That is just the Google method of verifying that its your website.

Its not something that you can do from within your Prestashop admin area, you will need to add the code to one of your Prestashop files on the server by using your cPanel file manager or FTP.

Drop me a pm if you need any help with this.
