Amazon worker in Piacenza near Milan, Italy are on strike over pay. Employing over 4000 Piacenza is Amazon’s main hub in Italy. On the other hand, Amazon workers in 6 warehouses in Germany are also striking over pay and working conditions.

Stefanie Nutzberger, board member of Verdi trade union said, workers faced "high pressure to create more and more in less time, permanent performance controls and monitoring, and a poor leadership culture".

Meanwhile, Amazon released a statement saying majority of their employees in Italy and Germany came to work and remained focused on delivering the best customer experience. They are also confident that they will be able to serve their customer this holiday season.
