Hi, hope everyone is doing well.

I'm going to design my own WordPress site and need opinions on hosting plans. I'm aware of the specifications like SEO optimisation, domains, SSD storage and SSL certificate etc. What else should I be looking for?

My website is going to be electronics based e-commerce site selling scrap PC parts and software.

Any tips and advice will go a long way.

    Thanks,
    Connor

Hi Connor. I have am most familiar with GoDaddy and Bluehost, but I'd recommend taking some time looking at review sites and base your decision on your findings.

Just a suggestion, but why not consider Shopify for not just your hosting, but your platform too. They have a great eCommerce platform and loads of good apps.

    Good luck!

Personally, I'd go with someone with a better support. I use https://www.34sp.com/ and they have been brilliant in support.

Hi, Connor. Recently, I was looking for a hosting service for my site. I found a lot of hosts, but many didn't fit me. The most important thing is DDoS protection on the site, scammers use this vulnerability to break the site. MangoMatter helped me with this problem. They moved my site to their hosting automatically, installed high-quality DDoS protection and installed a very convenient admin panel. These three points I think are the most important in the search for hosting. GoDaddy and Bluehost are good, but their prices are inflated. I have been using GoDaddy for 2 years and have encountered problems with personal data protection, I don't recommend them. Bluehost has a disgusting DDoS protection, I also don't recommend them. Be careful when choosing hosting services - this is a very important part of a successful website launch.
