News eBay Issue With Not Forwarding Customer Replies

    We've recently seen reports of issues with eBay not forwarding replies to customers, with one seller claiming that checking their eBay message they could only see two emails having been sent despite the actual number being around 50 sent replies.

    Another case followed with a customer that didn't reply to a sellers important message before item dispatch, and with this the seller held the item, thinking the buyer had changed his mind about the purchase. Having spoken on the phone instead, all seemed fine, however the seller received an email at 5:21PM saying the buyer was not satisfied. This email was originally sent at 10:21am, way before they had spoken on the phone to clarify the dispatch.

    Could this have resulted in negative feedback for the seller, therefore a temporary ban?

    It does appear that eBay has been experiencing some pretty big issues recently across their site.

    I have not had said issues yet but have noticed that the site is very slow to load a page sometimes and it seems to be getting worse, this includes when trying to revise items and email messages as well. We had this issue with ebay a year ago or so. I have mentioned this to an ebay rep when speaking to them regards another matter. At the moment its just annoying, lets hope it doesn't get worse and its nothing to with v/media or others as was claimed by ebay last time.
