The Chinese agent of the company saw the fake products being sold online and informed the police.

The raid happened on 4 November in Yangzhou. The head of the company YOUmEILE, who is behind the fake products was arrested and being investigated. Following the raid, the company released an apology saying they launched an investigation and pulled out all fake products being sold on JD.com, an online shopping site.

Peppa Pig has proved increasingly popular in China. There is a steady rise in the sales of related toys, clothes and home furnishings in the country aside from the success of the TV programme.

Everyone ought to be careful when dealing with unauthorized distributors online, specially when selling trademarked items like these Peppa Pig products. New sellers online usually have this problem on eBay wherein their account gets suspended for selling trademarked items without authorization. This article may save you from account suspension for unintentionally listing these items on eBay.
