If thats the case then i think it is only coreect that you warn other potential buyers if you are sure and also reporting it to admin as mentioned earlier

P.S my apologies it was not you that mentioned skullcandy

    Sorry again

Others here have had no qualms mentioning someone selling fakes, why should you?

Put the whole thing to rest. Something wound your spring and got you to post the thread. Name names and be done with it.

I don't think anyone will disagree with you that there are fakes advertised by folks in the marketplace, either directly, or once you visit their websites they have fakes available.

You seem to be dedicated to holding your ground, so why not end it all and save everyone some time and bother and simply state specifically who your are referring to.

Otherwise, you are painting ALL sellers with a broad brush when the do not deserve to be painted at all.

If you don't understand it is the lack of specifics that makes you and the post suspect, you are less intelligent than you seem to be.

Spit them out and be done with it.

This was the post where someone else mentioned Skull Candy

If you are right and got solid proof then that advertiser will be banned, if you are wrong then I'll make sure to close the door when you are gone. :p

The advertiser would probably come on here and verbally assault you! HOWEVER, if they had nothing to hide then they could prove that you are talking through you're arse. OR, you could actually back up some of your statements by asking them tough questions and out these rogue sellers you speak of and the forum would be a better place for everyone!

So as I said! Nut up or Shut Up! (In a friendly sort of way);)

    this is what would happen:

id point out someone selling fakes.

a load of people would jump on me asking what proof/evidence i have.

the seller would come on hurling abuse, and defend themself quite aggresively.

more people would come on and berate me for even having the nerve to accuse anyone of anything.

the seller would rattle of the same crap as in their original thread about having paperwork/certificates of authenticity.

everyone would decide that as the all-powerful paperwork was present that the seller must be correct. obviously, as they were all along, as its frowned upon to rock the boat in the 'community'.

    ban.

sorry if that came off slightly sarcastic, but the way people are ganging up is getting stupid. making ridiculous comments, and poo-pooing mine when theyre talking complete crap themselves.

You dont need to name names on here.

You need to PM Anthony, and he will sort it.

There isnt anything hard about that is there?

Anyway, this thread, as pointed out by others is going nowhere, so let me tell you where I am.

    Im out.

Who cares if its frowned upon to rock the boat? (Personally don't think it is) Or if some people berate you? If you are sure you're right and you have the stones to say it then people will listen to you.

I'm not trying to get you to come out with accusations but if you want to be heard and respected then you have to back up your claims or at least direct them in some way

That's Anthony's take on the subject, the OP should take his advice. I'm not gonna sit here commenting on this all evening as I'm home with family. I'll stand by what I said though, this would be a much poorer Forum if advertisers couldn't be discussed or scrutinized.

Maybe if the OP had of been engaged in a levelled discussion to begin with, he wouldn't be so vague on the subject. To the OP the comment about Admin not caring about this type of stuff in the marketplace isn't right.

From my experience TWF values it's reputation as a good place to do business more than appeasing a minute amount of advertisers selling fake goods with or without their own knowledge.

Oh and OP welcome to TWF and as a top bloke on here say's, Stick around and learn to earn.

cheers ballymore...i thin youve made the most balanced comments on this thread.

pipehype & bally - i dont want to report it to the admin. that would mean id have to go through every thread and look for 'evidence', etc. im not here to police this forum. the sole point of this thread was to start a discussion/raise awareness for the general forum population.

also - whether i reported it publicly or privately, the outcome would be the same: the seller would claim 'paperwork' and that would be the end of that.

i think this thread can probably be closed now anyway. special thanks to ukbuyer.

If you report something you don't have to categorically prove the items are fake....You are simply alerting the mods to look at something you feel is suspicious. If you can give evidence all the better but they will take it seriously. And it won't turn into You Vs. The Seller...

Probably better to delete it, there is nothing of substance to any of it.
