There’s a lot of websites and companies claiming to help with sourcing from China but lack a significant presence, if any, in China, meaning that the prices that you are offered, can be substantively higher.

If you want to know how to skip out the middle-man and pay the floor price, without travelling to the factory, the simplest and easiest way is to use the e-commerce Made-In-China. The company has been operating securely since 1998 and now has over 2,000 staff in 50 branch offices across China as well an office in the US.

It is China's first B2B e-commerce platform which conducts full reviews on paid-up suppliers. Of the over 5 million suppliers listed on its website, 20,000 are fully audited by the third-party company SGS through on-site verification.

The audit report clearly differentiates suppliers by business type i.e. whether they are a factory or a trading company, allowing the buyer to know and choose who they wish to deal with. Verified suppliers are clearly labelled with a blue logo on the website.

In addition, buyers can utilize a whole range of features and services to inspect and communicate directly with manufacturers including online video calls, virtual factory tours, augmented reality tours, and live shows. The MIC buyers team also support facilitating person face to face meetings and factory tours in China.
