After many many months of struggling across the US, and worries about the huge toy chain affecting the UK, it's been announced today that Toys R Us has indeed found no suitable buyer, meaning the UK will be losing a once much loved toy store that will result in 3000 job losses.

This is certainly a tough time for retailers across the board.

All staff however will still be working and paid up to their last day of employment, and the UK stores will still be operating as usual until then.

It is expected to take up to six weeks to complete the closure of the Toys R Us stores, with the first 26 least successful stores going first.

An official announcement is to be made today from the toy chain.
