In Nov 2019 Marks and Spencers blamed problems in the home camp for the 5.5% decline in clothing sales with Chief Exec Steve Rowe citing buying errors (having sacked the previous clothing boss in the summer after rails were left empty due to an ordering error) with the promise to transform the brand.

Today they have appointed Richard Price previous Chief Exec of Tesco's successful Florence and Fred clothing department to start the job in the new year.

The stocks are trading 1% higher following the announcement so clearly someone thinks its a good idea!
