I am starting a new business but i am struggling to come up with a name!!
Everytime i think of a good name, its already taken.
I will be selling pet products, mainly collars, leads etc with some gifts.
I would like the first part of the name to begin with K9 .....I have a great idea for the logo.

    Any Ideas?

What have you thought of so far?

You need to look at what the goal is, what you'd like the logo and name to portray/ represent for your business.

I guess its not a pet shop as such because I'm not selling food but more like a boutique shop mainly selling dog collars, leads and accessories.

Hello, the best choice is first you give some name for your business and ask us about the best suitable like- polling for business name.
you give the name because you know your business better then us.

    Hi Mel

    How about K9 Pampering
Both the (.co.uk) and the (.com) are still available at the moment.
Any name register will be able to hook those up for you.
Good luck with the new venture.
    Best regards
    Mike

    K9 Klothes - Bit corny I know.

I'd have to echo what 'Grafton Street' says though, in the modern age we live in a web address is probably more important than some cutesy name for the company so the best approach is two fold. First find a domain registry company (for instance easyspace) at this stage you're not going to actually use them to register the address it's just that they have an easy to use name finder with loads of options, you then need to find an address that's free preferably a .com and a .co.uk, so if you must have K9 at the start of your name just type that into the search and look from there, the search engine will suggest loads of alternatives. Then find a registrar that you're happy with and the prices they charge are reasonable and register the domain. There's bound to be a thread on this board somewhere as to the best value registrars. You don't need to add webspace yet that can come at a later stage.

The second search you could do, assuming you're in the UK is Companies House. You may not be considering a limited company as your startup structure at the moment, but it always helps if your chosen name 'could' be used for a limited company in the future.
