The Royal Mail have confirmed that the prices of First and Second Class stamps have increased as of today.

From today (26th March) we will see First Class stamps rise by two pence up to 67p, and Second Class stamps rise by two pence up to 58p. Those sending a large First Class letter will be expected to pay £1.01, up by three pence, and a large Second Class letter will cost you 79p to send, up by three pence.

A Royal Mail spokesperson said the changes are to "help ensure the sustainability of the Universal Postal Service."

They also said: "Royal Mail understands many companies and households are finding it hard in the current economic environment. As a result, we have considered any pricing changes very carefully and in doing so have sought to minimise any impact on our customers.”

For business fee changes you can view the Royal Mail Business Price Guide on their site.
