As everyone (or for those who just knew just now) might know, I have been working for TWF but is based offshore, particularly in the Philippines.

Little does everyone know, besides the political controversies this small, third-world country has, eCommerce has been getting more and more popular on this side of the world and more and more people are beginning to embrace online shopping as an alternative. Moreover, popular brands and companies are also embracing this trend and gaining more and more traction with the help of new multiple couriers helping with all those deliveries. Also, with a few marketplaces that are becoming a boom in the country - like Lazada and Shopee, also with the rising popularity of Facebook as a marketplace, more and more people are starting to jump on that trend.

Of course, it comes to mind that eventually, one company will start a trade show to showcase all these improvements in the industry. With that, the country's largest courier, LBC, has conducted their first Trade Show - So Shop - aimed at startups and online sellers who would like to showcase their products and network with possible new clients.

I went to this show to see what they have to offer, and while the venue, for it's first ever ecommerce trade show, is quite small, it has a good few things and some unique finds. Check out the photos below:

Overall, the trade show is quite small, being the first one ever. However, there are promising products and suppliers included, which could be a reason for this to be a yearly affair.

Only goes to show that eCommerce is thriving and each country has its own way of capitalising on it!

    LOL

I notice from the photos there seems to be a lack of electronic stands, were there any at all?

Just one in fact, the photo that has the Kimstore name, though mostly dealing with mobile devices and all other small electronics. Most focus on clothing and accessories, some within the food market, and a few ones focusing on something else.

I think the biggest one that has a lot of electronics included will be the gaming event here this end of October. I'll visit that too and post about them here.
