In light of the UK government’s introduction of the Digital Services Tax (DST), beginning the 1st of September 2020, Amazon will be increasing some of their fees by 2%. This includes the following:

    • Referral Fees
    • Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) Fees
    • Monthly FBA Storage Fees
    • Multichannel Fulfilment (MCF) Fees

For cash value fees, one must add 2% on the cash value. This means that as an example, a £5.26 fee now becomes £5.37, calculated as:
    £5.26 + 2% (£0.11) = £5.37

For referral fees rates that are based on percentages, one must add 2% to the absolute fee amount. As an example, for a 15% referral fee for a product worth £200 is £30:
This absolute fee amount will then be increased by 2%, which means - £30 + 2% = £30.60

As per Amazon’s announcement, here are the fee types that will have an increase beginning 1 September:

Google is also passing is straight on to the advertiser.

There was no way the mega-corps would take the hit, ridiculous legislation which will only increase the cost of selling online to end businesses.
