You will have to excuse me because I am fairly naive about this stuff. Okay, so this is my situation: I recently thought of a service I could offer to foreign e-commerce websites and I am now employed by a site in China but I don't know what I need to do legally? I was previously unemployed. What do I need to do in regards to taxes, HMRC etc Is there anything specific I need to know? Thanks for any help.

What is the service and how do you get paid? Also where are you going to be based the majority of the time.

Hi there, thanks a lot for the reply. I get an advance paid through paypal for 40 hours of work which tends to work out as about once a week.I work entirely at home here in the UK. I'm essentially just helping them with their website.
