Western Union is a mindfield at the moment. It is proven that most if not all the scammers try to use Western Union to get payment from buyers. There are so many flaws in their payment service. My advice is to steer clear of Western Union in the future.

Regarding getting your money back; Try getting in contact with you bank and push the legal system to try and get your money back. If you know the address of the person you paid, then report them to the local police or small claims department and start proceddings asap. Time in these sorts of cases isn't on the buyers side, so get in there quick.

Ipod wholesalers I am afraid do not exist.

This forum has seen a lot of requests for ipod sellers over the months and everyone that has said they could supply wholesale ipods was a scammer or a liar (at time of writing). The only place you will get wholesale ipods is apple directly and you have to be buying around 5000 a time I am reliably informed. We have a thing about the word IPOD on this forum...which no doubt if you search "ipod" you will soon find out.... :D

Hope this helps and let us know how you get on with getting your money back....

Just checked with the Police on this matter and it is a very fine line between a Civil offence and a Criminal offence. Best to present all information to your local station and they will decide if there is a Criminal offence. The phone line is active but as yet no answer.
It turns out there used to be a ligit company bearing the same name, not to sure if they are connected though.

Looks like you might have to wave buy buy to your dough. Still you have a address so you could sign up for a load of junk mail.

I am sure he will pop up again with a different disguise before too long.

Western Union - no comeback what so ever unfortunately as they are just a processor and only act as a middle man so they have actually done nothing wrong. their own site even says to only use when sending money to someone you know.

Alistair, since you know his address, you might want to call the local police station in the area, explain the situation to them and go over to the address with police if yo can. Things will change!
