why are there so many suspicious new memebrs signing up just to badmouth yodel?

my first dealing with them the other day, package sent via dhl express, taken in by some radom logistics company, eventually delivered by yodel. made no difference to me except everything took an extra 2-3 days.

    We've never used Yodel, however:
DHL domestic services were never that good, though they were never that bad either.
HDNL had terrible IT and a terrible work ethos (lots of lost and damaged).

So it while it's possible Yodel are amazing, the combination of OK, with poor, is unlikely to create something other than fair to middling at best.

(You'll see I've posted more than once!).

I have been using Yodel since they were DHL domestic for around 3 years now. Here is the feedback i have about them.

    Pros

    • They are cheap and you can send upto 31kg per parcel
    • In our particular case we have the same driver collect everyday so we have his mobile number and can phone him direct to find out what time they will collect
    • Although we don't have an account directly with them we use an agency that gives discounts as long as you send 10+ parcel per week. Lot of agencies offering this if you do a google search
    Cons

    • You need to pack your items well if they are fragile as the packages do get a LOT of knocks
    • If you do have to put in a claim it can take quite some time to get your claim resolved, Usually a few months even for the most basic claim and you need to get all the relevant claims forms, photos etc to them within 7 days of delivery or they will not accept the claim.
    • Since Jan 2011 they no longer do same day adhoc collections so you now have to book before 8pm the day before you want it collecting, can be annoying if your customer wants something urgent
    • Extra charges for delivery to offshore Island and Scottish highland
